16mm Wednesdays: Trash!

16mm Wednesdays: Trash!

This week we will be looking at three films about trash!

Junkdump (1970) - A study of the mounting problem of solid wastes. Portrays one day in the life of a husband and wife who complacently go about their normal activities in the midst of the accumulation of waste material. Shows what might happen if the solid waste disposal problem is not rectified.

Garbage (1970) - Presents, without words, sequences which suggest the tragi-comic quality of man's garbage.

Collection and Disposal: A Job for the Birds (1977) - A sardonic look at the garbage crisis in New York City as seen from the point of view of the men who are responsible for the collection and disposal of the 22,000 tons of waste generated daily by the city.

16mm screening every Wednesday featuring selections from the Library's 16mm collection.  Open to All!  No RSVP Required!
